KS 1 Saturday Theatre Trip 15th June

To celebrate the launch of Rosendale Theatre Club, we are planning an exciting Saturday afternoon trip to see Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play on Saturday 15th June at 2.30pm at the fantastic Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.

The play is open to children of Key Stage 1 (ages four to seven). The ticket price (discounted for schools) is £11 (normal price £16). Please note that both adults and children do need to have a ticket. The minimum age for admission is four. Refreshments and snacks are available to buy at the theatre. More details can be found on

Children attending the play must be accompanied by an adult with up to four children per adult. The accompanying adult is soley responsible for the safety of the children under his/her care.

We plan to travel to the theatre by public transport on the train from Herne Hill to Wimbledon. We will meet at 1pm outside the school gates and walk together down to the station. The Polka Theatre is approximately 15 minutes walk from Wimbledon station. If you would prefer to travel independently and meet us at the theatre this is no problem.

For the trip to go ahead we need to book a minimum of 10 seats. Please support us and come along!

Hope to see you on the 15th June!

Welcome to our first ever Theatre Club Blog post!

We are really excited about setting up Theatre Club at Rosendale this term!

Our aim is simply to encourage children to enjoy theatre and try their hand at drama.

As we are lucky to have so many parents at Rosendale from creative backgrounds and there are numerous theatres nearby, we have lots of great plans!

This term we are going to launch Theatre Club by inviting parents and children to join us on a fun (and substantially discounted) Saturday afternoon trip to a local theatre. We will post more details shortly.

Next year, we hope to introduce even more fantastic theatre and drama opportunities. The school is very much behind us and we will be working together to deliver this.

We would love as many parents as possible to get involved. If you can help in any way please email

We will also begin publicising events and shows you might be interested in on this Blog shortly. If you want to be the first to know about things we are planning, please remember to sign up to follow us on email.
